Mark Harrington, J.D., LL.M.

Attorney Harrington is authorized to practice Immigration Law throughout the entire United States and has successfully represented hundreds of employers, scientific researchers, and individuals before the USCIS. Mr. Harrington has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 2001. From June 2009 through June 2011 Mr. Harrington served as the Chairman of State Bar of Texas Committee on Laws Relating to Immigration & Nationality (2009-2011). Mr. Harrington is a member of the Houston Committee on Foreign Relations.
In September 2021, Attorney Harrington was appointed to serve a four-year term as a member of the Texas State Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (USCCR.gov). In June 2024, Attorney Harrington was re-appointed to serve a three-year term as a member of the State Bar of Texas Committee on Laws Relating to Immigration & Naturalization.
Prior to practicing immigration law, Mr. Harrington worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. For three years, he served as a counsel to the House Committee on Science, Research Subcommittee. Among other topics, he handled issues relating to foreign-born researchers, including the need for additional H1B Visas. Attorney Harrington also spent two years working for New Mexico U.S. Senator Pete V. Domenici.
Mr. Harrington obtained his LL.M. degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and his J.D. degree, with honors, from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts. He received his bachelor’s degree from Boston College.
